We Believe in the Power of Nurses to Change the World
The INNL works to increase the confidence and leadership skills of nurses to empower them to take action, use their voice to create awareness of needed change, influence policy and decision making at all levels and help mentor the next generation of nurse leaders.
There should be NO decisions about nurses, without nurses.
Nurses consistently rank as the most trusted profession in the world – yet we are not the most influential profession at policy and decision-making tables.

Nurses consistently rank as the most trusted profession in the world – yet we are not the most influential profession at policy and decision-making tables.

We need to shift our thinking from the “just a nurse” mentality and understand that we are powerful agents for a global movement of change.
Every nurse has the potential to be a leader, whether that is in a formal or informal leadership role. Nurses are leaders on their units, in their organizations and in their communities.
However, just having the opportunity to be a leader isn’t enough.
We must take action and fully step into that role if we want to create change. We are here to help support nurses who feel the calling to “step up” but aren’t sure where to start or need some encouragement and training to get started.
Together, we can become agents of change.
Together, our voices will be heard and we will lead our profession, organizations and communities into the future, stronger and healthier than ever before.
Together, we can change the world.
